Construction
The base of this cruiser is an adjustable frame – it has 7 slots to fit people from 3'5" to 5'6". However a few people higher than 5 feet complained that the trike is too small for them.
There is no chain, the pedals are right on the front wheel. On one hand it`s great that there is no maintenance with the chain – on the other hand the pedaling is not as effective as on chain vehicles.
The low cushy seat is quite comfortable – you just lean back and put your hands on those steering handlebars (a brake is also positioned there). The bike is safe and durable, and also features a nice safety flag.
Riding
Those 16" and 12" (front/rear) wheels provide a nice smooth ride. Triton is really great for fun riding and exercising, also for special needs people (Down syndrome, balance problems etc.) and children (let`s say from 5 or 6 years).
The steering system works well and turning by your rear wheels looks really cool!
Drawbacks
There are however several disadvantages you should know about – there are no gears so when you reach higher speed, you just can`t pedal fast enough to ride even faster. Also this tricycle doesn`t perform well in steeper hills – the front wheel simply lacks traction. Also there is very limited possibility of carrying something with you (backpack, food or water for example). So – wonderful for relaxing rides, bad for longer trips in the hills.
