The Little Tikes 3 in 1 is one of the "3 in 1" tricycles so popular today – and one of the better. It features a nice list of added safety and other widgets, sturdy construction and easy assembly.

Three stages
There are three stages this trike grows with your child: Parent Push, Parent Guided and Kid Powered. You start by pushing and steering with handle, also with footrest, safety bar and seat belt in place. After some time you can remove the bar and seat belt and finally also the handle, fold away and detach the footrest and let your kids ride themselves. There is also a possibility to disengage the pedals so when you push your kid, they don`t spin – quite useful.
The seat is adjustable to 4 positions to fit your child`s height – a nice advantage. The push handle is adjustable as well, so you can set it according to your height. Nevertheless some customers complained that the steering is difficult and doesn`t work like it should.
Construction and add-ons
The main frame is a metal / plastic combination – sturdy, durable, safe and good looking. The other parts are of slightly lower quality. There are also two color variations available – red-yellow-blue and purple. The assembly is really easy and can be done in 20 or 30 minutes without a problem.
Considering the additional widgets – we can find quite a lot of them here:
- large storage basket for carrying stuff
- bottle holder on the push handle – keep in mind that slightly larger bottles don`t fit in so you have to put them in the bucket
- removable shade canopy against the sun (adjustable to any angle) – unfortunately it doesn`t work in the wind (even in a breeze), it just blows up in the air which is quite frustrating
Safety
As with similar style trikes we can find many safety measures here – a removable protective safety bar which is important for young babies, 5 point seat belt to hold your kid safely in the seat, non-slip pedals and also detachable footrests. Furthermore the front covering is really large so there is no possibility your kid will stick her foot in the spinning wheel.
Although some customers complained that the seat belt doesn`t fit well, the safety of this toy is on a solid level.
